Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery

Abstract

The creation of the gastrojejunal anastomosis is a challenging step during laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (LRYGB). There are several effective techniques for performing the gastrojejunostomy in bariatric surgery. None of these techniques are considered as a standard. However, the transoral circular-stapled gastrojejunostomy is an efficient and reproducible construct for use in LRYGB.
