Abstract
Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) currently requires the use of the da VinciĀ® Robotic System (Intuitive Surgical Inc, Sunnyvale, CA) in the operating room setting. This chapter details important perioperative considerations that relate to equipment setup, instrumentation, patient safety, and appropriate staffing and communication to ensure safe and efficient management of patients undergoing TORS.
