Abstract

The tensile loading of Q345R was monitored in this study through acoustic emission at room temperature. The relationship between the mechanical process and the internal damage situation was established. The hits and accumulated energy of acoustic emission in the tensile loading of the specimen as well as the acoustic emission characteristics of Q345R in the tensile loading were obtained. By calculating the position entropy value of acoustic emission events, the damage to Q345R in the tensile loading was quantitatively described. We conclude that the position entropy value in the tensile loading changes at different stress states.
