Reconstruction for Locally Advanced and Recurrent Breast Cancer

Abstract

Fortunately, the number of patients presenting with advanced disease has fallen markedly. This is highly related to earlier diagnosis, patient awareness, more frequent breast exams, and self-examination. Nonetheless, some patients present with advanced disease. These patients may be candidates for reconstruction. The criterion for offering reconstruction to these patients is discussed. Additionally, patients with recurrence are also candidates in some cases. For other patients the techniques.
