The Clinician's Guide to Swallowing Fluoroscopy

Abstract

One-third of the individuals who localize the source of their dysphagia to the cervical region will have an esophageal etiology for their swallowing dysfunction. A thorough evaluation of the esophagus is essential in the comprehensive work-up of persons with dysphagia and an advanced understanding of the methodology and analysis of the videofluoroscopic esophagram (VFE) is fundamental for all swallowing clinicians.
