Abstract
The reduction procedures for fear and anxiety described in the previous chapter are now applied as treatments to specific anxiety disorders. As is most often the case in clinical practice, several procedures are used with the same individual in order to capitalize on the most effective elements of each and to adapt the treatment to the specific characteristics and needs of the individual client. The cases that follow were selected to illustrate how the various procedures can be adapted effectively and combined into comprehensive individualized treatment programs.
