Abstract
The selection of an appropriate hearing aid and earmould for a client does not signify the end of the hearing aid fitting procedure. Some process must be employed to judge the benefit provided by the aid in terms of its effectiveness and acceptability. Hearing aid evaluation must consider not only the technical dimensions of the aid, but also the subjective opinion of the user, since a hearing aid will provide no benefit unless it is worn.
