Abstract

Clinical directorates may use committees to involve people from different disciplines to formally agree common action, policies and procedures. Committees keep a formal written record of their deliberations and decisions, the detailed work on items considered by committees having been delegated to small, less-formal working parties. A working party should have a specific purpose and timescale for completion of their work.
