Abstract
Pityriasis rosea (pityriasis alba is a similar condition, but is rarely seen) is an uncommon condition, but can give rise to much concern due to the extensive rash which is the main feature of the disease. Older children — over the age of 10 years — are the most usual sufferers. Pityriasis is frequently found during adolescence.
