Abstract
An international survey published in 1968 (International Study Group) found that many construction companies in UK, USA, and Canada, were accounting for partial profits prior to completing a contract, although some preferred to wait until the contract was completed. SSAP 9 established a ‘percentage of completion’ method as standard practice in UK from 1975.
