Abstract
The F.O. Schmitt Lecture and Prize in Neuroscience was established by the Associates of the Neurosciences Research Program in 1973 to mark the seventieth birthday of Francis O. Schmitt, founder of the organization. The purpose of the award is to recognize, encourage, and advance the achievement of excellence in neuroscience.
