Abstract
The simplified column theory presented earlier must be regarded primarily as a qualitative guide to the achievement of column efficiency. The production of good analytical columns depends almost entirely upon the skill of the operator and thus it is of the utmost importance that the newcomer to gas chromatography acquire proficiency in making columns.
