Field-Ion Microscope Studies of Radiation Damage

  • Chapter

Abstract

This review is divided into two parts since the radiation-damage experiments performed thus far with the field-ion microscope naturally fall into two classifications. The first part (Section 11.2) covers field-ion microscope studies of neutron damage and the annealing of this damage, while part two (Section 11.3) is concerned with all other radiation-damage experiments in which the specimen is prepared in a field-ion form prior to irradiation.
