Abstract
Anxiety disease sometimes occurs alone in an otherwise healthy person, who has an uncomplicated life and no health problems. More often, it is part of a larger picture, one of several factors in the problem of living. This is one of the reasons most people with anxiety disease are treated by primary care physicians; they are already being treated for other health problems. Three of these special situations deserve more detailed attention, partly because they happen so often and partly because they add greatly to the miseries and the dangers of anxiety disease.
