Abstract
This concludes our journey to the end of time, and our look at one of the most important problems of astronomy—the dark matter problem. We have seen that according to present ideas most of our universe is made up of a strange, as yet unidentified form of matter. And we have looked at what it might be. In addition, we have seen how this matter determines the fate of the universe. The question that now comes to mind is: How close are we to finally solving the problem? Also, is the picture we have today of the dark matter and the fate of the universe likely to change? It is, of course, always dangerous to try to predict the future. Changes will no doubt come, but it’s hard to say what form they will take.
