Abstract

Another potentially powerful tool in our search for dark matter is the gravitational lens, a gravitating object such as a galaxy or black hole that bends and focuses light much in the same way an optical lens does. Although the full potential of the gravitational lens has not yet been achieved, tremendous progress has been made, and it may one day provide the breakthrough we are looking for.
