Abstract
The powder metallurgy industry has long been aware that large variations in strength of sintered iron powder parts are obtained when identical parts are sintered in different laboratory and production furnaces. This survey is an attempt to chart the variations obtained when identical parts with no addition to the iron powder other than a lubricant are sintered in different furnaces under presumably identical conditions.
