Abstract

The principles underlying luminescence measurements can be summarized as follows. Radiation from the source is resolved into a spectrum by a monochromator or a set of light filters and is then intercepted by the object under investigation. The luminescence excited in the object is analyzed by a set of light filters, or is resolved into a spectrum by a monochromator, and is then intercepted by a radiation detector, the signal from which passes to the recorder.
