Abstract

There are so many useful applications of immunological techniques to the study of gonadotrophins that a good deal of effort to overcome the technical difficulties is justified. A successful immunological assay for one of the gonadotrophins, human chorionic gonadotropin (HGG), has already been developed and it has revolutionized the field of pregnancy diagnosis. Some of the potential applications of immunological techniques to the study of pituitary hormones will be considered here.
