The Forests of Oz(one)
On the morning of September 23, 1988, Dr. Barrett N. Rock, associate professor of forest resources at the University of New Hampshire’s Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space, waited for a television crew from New Hampshire Public Television. The TV people were interested in his research, and they planned to accompany Rock and his graduate assistant, David Moss, to the Mt. Moosilauke site, where they would tape the scientists “doing their thing.”
