Influencing a Child’s Behavior

Abstract

Certainly much of the material found here came from research findings and theoretical tenets of others who often spoke of children’s behavior in general. Yet an equal amount, indeed more of the critical material, came from the kids who sat across from me and unabashedly shared their private and public “person.” It was from these kids that the tenets and findings were reviewed and sometimes verified; from them that modifications in procedural thoughts and actions were attempted, remodified and replicated. I’d like now to touch upon a few findings and views that will offer you a notion of the foundation upon which the book’s material was built, as well as provide additional thoughts for you to consider, specifically about your child’s eating and generally about your child’s behavior.
