A Comparison of the Five Cultures

Abstract

Our whirlwind tour of the ancient world has ended and the time has come for reflection. We have traveled the great Nile through ancient Egypt. We have walked 40 years with the tribes called Hebrews to the land known as Israel, and continued on to Greece and across the Adriatic to Rome. Finally we have visited China, exploring its development from prehistoric times, and through the dynasties that introduced great scientific and social advancements to the rest of the civilized world.

If we cannot see things clearly, let us at least look squarely at the obscurities.
