Abstract

In biology the notion of evolution (1) means that the different forms of life actually have a structure and a position in nature which are due to a development from other forms. This development generally is called phylogenetic because it concerns the development of species, or phylogeny; in biology the notion of evolution is not related to ontogeny, or development of individuals, except for the individual’s qualities as a member of his species.
