Abstract
There is a large and expanding enterprise out there. It is called drug treatment. Drug treatment focuses on drug (including alcohol) addiction at the individual level. I emphasize individual level because, although entire families occasionally come in for treatment, entire neighborhoods and entire companies do not. Certainly chemical dependence affects individual people, but it also affects entire organizations. Still, drug treatment programs have not moved right into our workplaces to treat us all.
