Abstract
My first encounter with Feza occurred probably in the summer of 1959 at BNL. We were among the summer visitors there. Recognizing his name on the door of his office, I went in and introduced myself, because I knew his work on the so-called Pauli-Gürsey transformation, and also because I had heard a lot about him from K. Nishijima. In any case, I immediately felt close to him. I don’t think he has changed much over the years, nor has my feeling toward him.
