Abstract

Earlier sections of this book have been concerned with the information you need before actually starting a course of complementary treatment. Chapter 3 attempted to answer the question ‘What should I expect from complementary healthcare?’ Chapter 4 looked at how to make decisions about complementary healthcare and Chapters 5–12 gave you the information needed to make those decisions. This chapter is concerned with complementary healthcare once it has begun, once you have actually contacted a practitioner and are about to go for a treatment session.
