Abstract

Have you ever been asked to talk about your work? Many health professionals have. Many too, once over the feeling of being flattered and of having had their self-confidence boosted, go on to worry about how they will cope. This is especially true if they are asked to talk at a conference. Saying ‘yes’ to a request is the easy part. The more difficult bits are preparing what you have to say and then saying it. In this chapter, the whole process of preparing and giving a presentation are explored.
