Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to examine the contrasting trends in oral health between the technically developed and developing countries in the context of WHO/FDI’s oral health goals,1 discuss the reasons for these trends, and make suggestions on practical strategies to achieve an acceptable standard of oral health by the year 2000.
