Abstract

During five years after the theoretical prediction [1–3] and the experimental discovery [4–9] of conductance fluctuations in small (‘mesoscopic’) samples, the ‘mesoscopics’ became quite a wide field where a lot of experimental results were obtained and a lot of theoretical approaches were developed. Many of them shall be presented in a wide spectrum of contributions to our meeting. In my lectures I will try to review the theoretical results obtained in the framework of rigorous perturbative calculations. By perturbative ones, I mean not only calculations performed to the first few orders but also those including summation of the leading infinite series.
