Abstract

The synthesis of wide-gap cubic zinc blende MnTe was recently realized and led to a range of optical studies on single-quantum wells of ZnTe/MnTe and CdTe/MnTe with strong electron-hole confinement. This leads to the possibility of studying exciton-longitudinal optical (LO) phonon coupling in designed structures.
