Abstract

Although Mr. C. appears to be a simple case of “tension” or muscle contraction headache, this case is a good illustration of the complexity of chronic head pain. If one did not look carefully at the situation, the obvious treatment plan would be biofeedback, cognitive therapy, and/ or progressive muscular relaxation, which I predict would, and did, end in disaster. Even in the most classic cases of headache, it is always wise to look very carefully before proceeding with intervention.
