Abstract

All intervention following the stroke, whether medical, surgical or rehabilitative, is based on the assessment of need, which in turn rests on the analysis of the cause of the presenting problems. The actual diagnosis of stroke has to be established: similar signs and symptoms can be presented in many different pathologies (Chapter 11).
