Abstract
The latest skirmish in the Sex War changed everything. Before that, women wanted men to be men, and men were predictable. Women wanted dates to open doors for them, their chairs adjusted, their virginity respected, friendship before being propositioned, to be in love before having sex, and probably no sex before marriage, or at least a ring. In short, they wanted romance. At least that’s what men thought women wanted. So men played the game of glorifying the feminine ideal, sometimes honorably, often dishonorably.
