Abstract

In some instances dwellings, because of their design, are unsuitable for adaptation. In other cases adaptations may be possible, but because of the amount of work required to render them suitable for disabled people, will be extremely costly and therefore impractical. If individual ability is not to be curtailed due to living in an inaccessible property, then alternative accommodation may need to be considered.
