Abstract

Whereas phages are viruses of minor importance compared to those that infect Man and his domestic plants and animals, there are certain industries where bacteriophage infection is a nuisance, if not economically disastrous. These are industries that depend at some stage in their processes on changes brought about by specific bacteria.
