Nonepithelial neoplasms

  • Chapter
Biopsy Pathology of the Bronchi

Abstract

Nonepithelial neoplasms of the bronchi are rare. The histological appearance of these neoplasms does not differ from that of their more common extrapulmonary counterparts. Whimster (1983) has published a comprehensive annotated bibliography of the lower respiratory tract neoplasms, which includes listings of endobronchial cases and reviews. In this chapter the various nonepithelial neoplasms and some of the non-neoplastic lesions which may be confused with them will be discussed briefly.
