Abstract
The philosophy, and therefore the induction programme, of the Anmer Lodge project grew out of the idea that the elderly in the continuing-care situation should have the choice of increasing their self determination, their freedom of choice and their right to be ‘at risk’. At the same time the staff had to consider their own needs and anxieties.
