Abstract

In Chapter 10, details were given as to how to develop counselling skills when working alone, in pairs or in a small group. This chapter offers a range of counselling-skills exercises and activities. The first set consists of those for the individual working on her own, the second set for people working in pairs and the third for people working in groups. The second and third sets may be used in combination by a group of colleagues working together to enhance their counselling skills. Each exercise should be worked through slowly with plenty of time allowed for processing or discussing the activity afterwards.
