Abstract

This chapter will cover the general surgical procedures you might reasonably expect to perform as a trainee. You should read up the techniques of more complex procedures in a textbook of operative surgery (such as Rob and Smith’s Operative Surgery) before you assist at them so that you understand the procedure and can follow the surgeon’s line of action.
