Abstract
It is the aim of this section that only the appropriate essentials of reproductive anatomy and physiology should be included so that the normal is well understood and common deviations recognized. The implication of this knowledge to the giving of contraceptive advice is included. In addition the ageing processes related to reproduction are mentioned to assist those providing well women services.
