Abstract
It is one thing to buy a computer. It is another to get it running efficiently. Many people just take them out of the box, plug them in and starting running them. While you can do it this way — usually — if you want to get the best out of you computer it is better to spend a little time getting to know how to set it up optimally. This is especially true if you use Windows and Windows programs. There are all sorts of things you can do to make Windows run faster and more effectively. This chapter is about setting up your computer.
