Abstract

The function of management is to organize present events as well as to anticipate and predict future developments which will affect the operations of an organization. It is important, therefore, that the planning function is considered to be a vital part of any operation. Planning is the process of formulating strategies and courses of actions in order to accomplish goals or objectives. An element of responsibility must be incorporated into plans, especially when a person or a department is assigned the task of overseeing a plan.
