Abstract
The majority of infants are in excellent condition at birth; observe them closely but leave them alone and the majority will stay that way. There is a direct correlation between the amount of intervention given and the amount of intervention subsequently required. If an infant does genuinely need your help, the chances are that he is going to need medical help as well. Do not delay calling for urgent help.
