Abstract
As I mentioned in the Introduction, this chapter may seem not to have an overall objective, but it introduces ideas and topics that I consider important. These topics are presented in a basic format that may seem logical to some readers, and strange and out of context to others. All these topics in their various depths are vital in the forming of an overall understanding of osteopathic athletic health care. Details may change after this book is written, but the principles will still be the same, as you will see in later chapters.
