Abstract
As shown in Fig. 2.2 a Pascal program is divided into two main parts, declarations and statements. The declarations come first, and they tell the compiler what sort of data is being used. We deal with them in this chapter. The statements come after the declarations: they specify the operations performed on the data. We deal with them in Chapter 4, and subsequently.
