Abstract

The previous sections have defined the role of a number of different core clinical professionals in the elderly services’ multidisciplinary team. Many other professional disciplines contribute on an ‘as required’ basis, such as speech therapy, dietetics, psychology, chiropody and a variety of services such as dental, vision and hearing. Therefore to provide good quality care excellent co-ordination of both a full- and part-time team is needed.
