Abstract
The therapist contributes to the well-being of individuals by optimizing their quality of life. Improvement in movement is the domain of the physiotherapist and treatment often requires attention to balance, perception and sensory deficits. This chapter provides a brief description of the roles and specialist skills of the physiotherapist and describes examples of successful multidisciplinary teamwork.
