Abstract

As early as 1905, Boeck recorded infiltration of the nasal mucosa in a case of multiple benign sarcoid, and in 1908 Kreibich and Kraus described a case of sarcoids of the skin of the nose and forehead with nasal symptoms, due to thickening of the mucosa, though the mucosa was not examined histologically.
