Individually designed residential provision for people with seriously challenging behaviours

  • Chapter

Abstract

This chapter will describe and evaluate community-based residential services set up for people with severe learning disabilities and the most severely challenging behaviour in the South East Thames Region of England. The services considered are those set up with the assistance of the Special Development Team (Emerson and McGill, in press) but this chapter will focus on the services themselves rather than the work of the SDT.
