Abstract

The colligative concept of seronegative spondarthritis was introduced by Moll, Haslock, Macrae and Wright in 1974 (Table 12.1). At that time it was suggested that this concept would have aetiological, diagnostic and therapeutic importance, and each of these predictions has been born out in the subsequent decade.
